The GT-Propeller company was founded by brothers in 1969 in province of Rimini in Italy. |
| |
| The Tonini brothers began their adventure in the world of aviation with the design and construction of a glider constructed from a mix of metal, wood and burlap which, when towed behind a car, they flew in the winter on the long desert beaches of the adriatic coast and in the airport of Rimini, thanks to special permission released from the airport military authorities at that time. |

| In 1969 there were no Laws in Italy governing amateur aircraft construction and operation. The rapid development of national and international sport aviation brought the Tonini brothers, thanks to their experience, dedication and the many years of research and study, to begin full time professional production of propellers with more than 200 models for several applications: First powered ultralights, hang-gliders, experimental aircraft imported from the USA, hovercraft, wind turbines, aerial military targets and UAV's, fans for movie production and finally high powered acrobatic aircraft like the PITTS biplane. |

| GT-Propeller was proudly the first Italian company to produce propellers for the then new Rotax motor imported into Italy, and the first company world-wide to produce the propeller for the most famous 100 HP Rotax 912-S for series installation in collaboration with the TECNAM company. |

From the end of the second world war no Italian company had certified propellers for general aviation through the national or any foreign authority.
The Tonini brothers certified some models of their immense range following certification standards JAA.RAI-E-26 Italy.LBA 31/101 Germany . Z-DB.03.03, Poland. EASA certification coming soon. |

| Major company growth occurred in 1990 when the company moved to a new factory at Riccione. Increasing worldwide demand from many of the aircraft companies for propellers meant that GT propellers could employ more skilled craftsmen and planners and invest heavily in new modern manufacturing equipment, greatly increasing effeciency and production volume. |
