| GT Propellers Australia was started in 2010 by Chris Wise, an ex glider pilot and long time pilot and aircraft owner. Chris learned to fly in South Africa in 1970 before moving to Australia. He has owned various exotic aircraft types including the Yakovlev Yak-52, Yak-18T and Aermacchi AM3 Bosbok. Searching for a replacement propeller for his Yak-18T lead him to GT propellers in 2009 as their GT2-V-25 replacement for the standard V-530 offered substantial improvements in performance for lower fuel comsumption and, more importantly, a lower priced new alternative to expensive second-hand reconditioned propellers. Chris was so delighted with the resulting performance increases in his new GT that he immediately contacted the parent company, offering his services to supply these incredible propellers to this region. |
Chris's enthusiasm and willingness to "put his money where his mouth is" convinced GT propellers to offer him the local supply contract and he is now the Australian and New Zealand contact for GT Propellers in Italy New customers can be assured that Chris practices what he preaches, he is a user of his own products and his Yak-18T is currently running the latest GT2-V-25 M-14P/V-530 replacement prop. |
