Due to the lack of new build Vperod propeller blades for M-14 engined Yaks, owners have only a few options:
1. Overhaul your old blades (if they have sufficient integrity, no cracking etc)
2. Buy second hand blades and have them overhauled
3. Buy new substitute blades
GT Propellers now manufacture new build replacements with similar properties and of higher performance for slightly more than non-exchange overhauled old blades.
GT2-V-25 blades offer the following advantages over standard blades:
- Greater static thrust.
- Shorter take off distance, both grass and hard surfaces.
- Higher cruise speed at any power setting.
- An average of 8-10 Kts faster at 70% power setting . ( standard day )
- Shorter landings thanks to greater propeller diameter.
- Pilots report a feeling of more energy during all aerobatic manoeuvres.
- Superior cooling in hot environments.
- Reduced noise levels both in the cockpit and outside.
- Smoother engine running.
- Lower fuel consumption.
- Like the originals, GT blade construction reduces engine damage during a propeller strike compared to blades made of aluminium or all composite.

The blades have been tested on Yak-50, Yak-52 (TW), Yak-55 and Yak-18T thus far.

Spinners to fit the new GT2-V-25 Blades and V-530 blades are also now available
Testimonials:

Chris Wise's Yak-18T was recently fitted with the new GT2-V-25 blades and was displayed at the Parafield and Cummins airshows by 13 times Australian Aerobatic Champion, Chris Sperou. Chris was so impressed, he sent us this letter :
